Notte comoda a Port Douglas

Chaotic and loud
There was toilet and shower in the dorm room. Also there was a fridge self for each guest of the room.

- • -The bunk beds are cheap and flimsy and are not secured to the wall. As a result, the entire bunk shakes constantly whenever either the person on the top or bottom bunk makes even the slightest movement. -The ladders are bizarrely positioned next to the pillow of the person sleeping on the bottom bunk, rather than at the foot or lower end of the bed. This means that every time the person on the top bunk climbs up or down, the person below literally has someone’s feet right in their face. -There are no power outlets or individual reading lights by the beds, which constantly creates conflicts between guests. People argue both over the very limited number of available power outlets and over when the main — and only — light in the room should be switched on or off. -This place does not really function as a lodge for travellers, as what feels like 99% of the guests are long-term residents on working-holiday visas. Dozens of long-term guests, mostly Spanish-speaking, occupy virtually every shared space in the establishment and dorms, and when you try to use some of that space yourself, whether in the room or in the kitchen, you are made to feel like an intruder. On top of taking over most of the communal areas, they are an incredibly noisy crowd. Since the establishment is completely unsupervised after 5 pm, absolute chaos takes over every evening, making it feel like a college dorm during the holidays than accommodation for travellers. People scream singing, drinking, getting in and out of the dorm rooms all night, turning the lights on and off and the list goes on. If you want to attend Daintree and Coral Reef tours completely sleep deprived and exhausted, this is the place to stay.
