Magic in San Miguel - every detail considered
Our recent stay at the Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada was, in a word, fabulous. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like a hotel and more like an intimate, beautiful sanctuary.

Great location -- the real luxury is the care from the staff
We stayed four nights in late April and had a wonderful time. From greeting through till departure, this really was a warm, luxury experience. The room (#484) was well appointed with all the modern amenities while retaining beautiful historic architectural details; we liked that it was in a casa just a few steps from both the main reception building and the pool/Tunki building, because it was especially quiet. The pool was beautiful and generally peaceful in late morning--sometimes by mid-afternoon, all of the loungers were taken, but staff were helpful in accommodating everyone. They also provided fantastic service poolside, including offering up free snacks and popsicles on a particularly hot day, in addition to a menu of food and drinks.

Everyone should stay here at least once and if you can splash out and go for their top 2 suites
This is a tourist city so busy but once you enter into the cooling atmosphere of this beautiful hotel in a wonderful City all the burdens of daily life fall away. Admittedly we had the best suite with roof top terrace overlooking the town and church but it was worth every penny. Not cheap but one doesn't mind when the place is uniquely faultless almost. Will definitely return whenever I wish to recharge the batteries.
