Clean property, but the room was far smaller than expected for a Double Room and did not justify the £171 price.
The guest house was clean and tidy, and the location was convenient for visiting York. Check-in was straightforward and the room itself was well presented.

- • We booked and paid £171 for a Double Room, but the room we were allocated (Room 3) was exceptionally small and did not feel like a standard double room for two adults. There was barely enough space to move around the bed, making the stay uncomfortable. We have since noticed that the property advertises both Double Rooms and Small Double Rooms as separate room types, which has left us questioning the room we were allocated. We also requested an iron on the afternoon of our arrival for the following morning, but it was not delivered until the next morning when it was no longer needed. Overall, we felt the room did not represent good value for the price we paid.

- • We stayed in room 1 and it was very small. There was a window that I tried to open but realised it opened into a conservatory that had a board behind the window blocking it from opening. This made the room feel very claustrophobic and didn't allow for good airflow. There was also a layer of dust on the headboard of the bed. Otherwise, the room was immaculate. I wasn't made aware of the fee for parking. While it wasn't expensive, it was a surprise!
