- • We stayed at B&B Hotel Milano San Siro (Via Achille 4, 20151 Milan) on Sunday 21 June 2026. After checkout Monday morning, we left for Milan and returned later to the hotel to collect our car. That's when I discovered my Apple AirPods Pro missing from my luggage — last seen on the bed in the room. I immediately went to reception, since the FindMy GPS tracking app showed the AirPods were still inside the hotel. Reception staff checked the room (already cleaned) twice and found nothing, despite my repeated screenshots and phone calls that evening confirming the AirPods hadn't left the building after we left for Como. This is not a case of an item getting lost in transit — the item was confirmed inside the hotel for more than 24 hours (between June 22nd & June 24th), before it left the building. Tracking showed the AirPods leaving the hotel on Wednesday and traveling to locations over the next days: Rho, Castellanza, Cadorago — some over 50km away. At one point the tracker showed the AirPods removed from their case, indicating someone was using them. Hotel staff repeatedly deflected responsibility in the email correspondence, insisting it was a matter for the laundry service, not the hotel. As a customer, that distinction is irrelevant to me — I trusted my belongings to this hotel, and I consider this a theft by hotel-affiliated personnel. At a well-run hotel with honest, well-managed staff, a lost item found during cleaning or laundry sorting gets handed to reception and returned to the guest — that's basic lost-and-found practice. Instead, mine disappeared. We had been traveling in Italy for 10 days and were hoping to collect the AirPods when we were back to Milan, hotel staff was aware. After my last email on June 29th, in which I shared the item's final tracked location, hotel staff went silent — they had recovered nothing and offered no compensation. After this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to other travelers.
