- • Location a bit off-center from what I had planned to visit in Vienna. Note, however, the proximity of public transport.
Rooms clean and spacious. Breakfast top!!

- • The service. After we went to our room, my husband and I had to realize that a hand-sized area of the mattress was damp on one side. We touched it a few times and lifted the sheet to see if the mattress was wet. As soon as the sheet was removed, we were greeted by hairs from older guests... We contacted reception, after which the man with long gray hair and glasses came to our room. He ran his hands over the entire mattress once and claimed he didn't feel any moisture. He offered to bring us new sheets and maybe turn the mattress over (?!?) After a cursory look under the mattress, he also changed his mind (I really DON'T want to know what else was under there). Exchanging the room was not an option because apparently they had no more rooms. After this disgusting experience and a service staff who practically wanted to portray us as liars, we didn't want to stay a second longer. They also did not refund our €124.42, which is another outrage on top of it. We packed our things and walked around the block where we discovered the B&B Hotel in Sorbaitgasse 14. Understanding and courteous service at the reception and a clean room. We didn't need more to be happy, and Arte Hotel didn't even manage that... What a shame!
