- • There was no water bottle included, and the 500 ml bottle cost 2.50$, which was not worth it. Usually, motels provide drinkable water, which is a necessity. This is a basic service, so I hope you will consider it.

- • The room had a kitchen. The cutlery and crockery provided were of very poor quality and few in number. Spending a few dollars on this would considerably enhance the room's feel.
We often book independent hotels and motels rather than chains, and Arbutus didn't disappoint!
For the location, directly off Douglas St., it was very quiet! And it was on a light, so super easy to get in and out. So much of what we needed was right nearby and easy to get to with direct routes.

- • It was very hot, but our air conditioner did struggle in the evening. We sorted out, after the fact, that we could turn it off and back on again to reset it. It was nice having the extra fan in the room for support.
It was nice today and good in 2024 at Christmas when they took good care of my wife with brain cancer.

- • The beds were far too soft. I almost rolled off when my partner moved.

- • The room was tiny! The bed was almost as wide as the space it was in. Very claustrophobic.
