- • Poor fire safety in loft apartment no. 8 at least. No escape route, no firefighting equipment. The owner says the staircase is the escape route. Fire alarms, I assume, were out of order as it was flashing red.

- • Water drainage in bathrooms is a bit of a problem and the floor gets wet due to lack of a border in the shower area. Tiles not installed correctly.
Overall great satisfaction except for the terrible screeching noises.
The apartment was lovely, centrally located, well-equipped, and clean.

- • The only downside was the sound of a generator around the clock, most noticeable in the evening/night. The toilet often makes a screeching noise when refilling the cistern. Thursday night, there were two times of terrible high-pitched screeching, the first between 3-4 o'clock and the next around 5 o'clock.
Charming period apartment with modern comfortable amenities
The apartment was very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The facilities were excellent, and it was particularly useful to have a washing machine as we were traveling around Denmark for a couple of weeks. The kitchen had just about everything you could need. Skagen is small, so this was very centrally located in the main part of the town. Communication and expectations were very clear both beforehand and during our stay.

- • Nothing really, the steps to access the apartment, which was in the attic space, are quite narrow when carrying suitcases, but it's an old building. The steps are shared on the bottom floor with the kitchen of the restaurant downstairs, so they were sometimes a bit congested, but staff always moved to let us pass. A glass door and panel had been put in to minimize noise and any cooking smells from the kitchen, which was good.
