Um pequeno oásis no meio de Langkawi!
A small oasis in the middle of Langkawi! Close to the center, but set on a very quiet hill, which gives us the total feeling of being immersed in the forest. The company of native animals in the forest around us (monkeys, small lizards, birds) makes the experience even more immersive. The accommodations are excellent, stylish without being luxurious, very comfortable and clean. The friendliness and availability of the staff made our stay even more enjoyable.

- • Extra services are not very abundant, but that was not a fundamental criterion for our stay
Friendly stay in the rainforest
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast at both Pegaga and Rimba was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. Drinks and dinner were amazing too. Room was great and spacious.

Superb!
Loved how lush and tucked away the bungalows are - very clean and exceptionally lovely staff! Would visit again when in Langkawi, for sure!

Rainforest stay with all the comfort
The setting, the staff, the comfort and a number of little special gestures that makes you smile, observing forest life from the comfort of our balcony - what we’d hoped for by choosing this place, it didn’t disappoint! The Rimba Restaurant served up good breakfasts (great nasi lemak) and meals. Nearby club resort does pump out the music in the late afternoon and evenings, though not every night and always thankfully ends by 1am, as far as we’re aware. I would still recommend staying at Ambong - this one annoyance didn’t take away from our stay over all (take earplugs if a light sleeper).

Wonderful rainforest retreat
Beautiful room high in the trees with a view of the beach and sea. Very comfortable, great AC and nice to have a little kitchen area. Staff could not have been more helpful or friendly - they were always on hand to pick you up for breakfast or dinner or drop you down at the beach - I never waited more than a few minutes. The restaurant had probably the best food in the area and it was a delight to go for breakfast, sunset cocktails, and dinner overlooking beautiful island views. I also ordered room service one evening which came promptly and was great.

- • Didn't really get a chance to use the pool as it is surrounded by vegetation and a lot of mosquitoes around. Similarly, the vegan restaurant with its open windows - constantly worrying about getting bitten! Perhaps some strong citronella or keep some insect repellant around for guests? It would have been nice to have some music around that area of the hotel too to create a little atmosphere as it was a little too quiet. Nevertheless, I had a wonderful stay.
