Disappointing value for money compared to Kempinski

- • In comparison to the Kempinski Hotel at the Dead Sea, which is in a similar price range, our stay was unfortunately rather disappointing. Especially at a hotel of this price level, I expect a correspondingly high standard and attentive service. There was a significant deficiency already in the bathroom: the shower water ran both towards the toilet and outside the shower area. From my point of view, this is not acceptable for a hotel of this category. Also, the breakfast service did not meet my expectations. Coffee was served very slowly and sometimes not at all. It was only brought after repeated requests. Similarly disappointing was the minibar equipment, which was particularly poorly stocked with drinks. I found the handling of our request for a late check-out until 1 p.m. – just one hour longer – particularly unfortunate. We were informed that this was unfortunately not possible due to the hotel being fully booked. This is of course understandable and not a problem for me in principle. However, what I missed was a customer-oriented alternative. For example, they could have offered to store the luggage in the hotel and continue to use the hotel facilities for this additional hour. I also had to ask twice if a late check-out was actually possible. For a hotel of this price range, I would expect that if an extension is not possible, at least an alternative would be proactively offered. Overall, I had the impression that the service and attention to detail did not correspond to the price level of the hotel.
