Well below the Marriott experience we are used to expect

To start with just the very good feature of my stay, hotel staff is extremely courteous, friendly and kind. That's about all. Everything else is well below the standard I came to expect from a Marriott and for the price charged by the room in the hotel. During a one-week stay you were unable to fix a problem whit the shower. The problem was not only the inefficiency of the repair people (which visited my room 3 times), but the LYING of them assuring me that the problem was fixed only to realized (next morning) that it was not. House keeping did not replace items consistently (when I was given hand soap, the coffee was missing, when new bath towels were provided, the coffee service was not cleaned... I had to call several times to get all this fixed and, with a good delay, some times requiring 2 or 3 calls, it was. Hotel premises were noisy and lousy. I understand you were in the middle of a renovation, but that was not communicated before the reservation and you did nothing to mitigate it after I reported the noises. The TV was not working at all during 2 days and, after over 5 calls/visits to reception and 3 technicians, I was able to see a few channels and only if switched off and on the TV every time I wanted to change channels. Internet was extremely slow to the point I had to use tethering to download heavy work files. By the way, this latest was the only item I did not report, as my expectations that you will effectively solve it were nihil by the time. In all reported cases, your staff apologized, but problems were not solved or keep repeating. I don not look forward to stay again in your hotel, if I can avoid it.

Loveliest Staff of ANY Marriott Property

The hotel staff are the best. Pernile went out of her way to accommodate me after an issue with my room, even helping to cancel my reservation at another hotel and match the rate. The entire staff are, like most Ghanaian, endlessly gracious and kind.

Fantastic Experience.

Given the bad experiences I have had with some hotels in Ghana; I consider Marriott to be the best by far. We spent 7 nights in total and had fantastic experiences. From the drivers who picked and dropped us from and to the airport, the front desk team, catering, cleaners, porters and door men. A shout out to Peniel one of the staff (Guest relation?). I explained to her about our bad experiences on hotels in Ghana and she ensured none of the bad experiences repeated itself. Peniel ensured that our stay was comfortable. Very good customer service. Being in the hotel felt like home and we will forever be grateful. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

The best hotel I have ever lodged - the Great Accra Marriot.

Location was excellent. It is close to the Airport and prime area of Accra. The atmostphere was excellent. Staff were knowleable, they knew and understood what they were assigned to accomplish. The customer relation was over excellent. Especially the customer relation coordinator, Peniel Arthur, she was amazing and has absolute knowledge and skills to identify, analyse, understand and deliver service required to meet the needs. Staff communication skills excellent. Very polite, respectful and welcoming. Staff behaviours, excellent. The room was excellent and cleaned. It was value for money. We really enjoyed the our entired stay. We would always recommend the hotel to everyone. Excellent Guest experience

I had a wonderful stay at the Accra Marriott Hotel, and I would like to especially recognize Emelia and Mavis from the restaurant team for their outstanding hospitality. From the moment I arrived, they were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. What made the experience even more memorable was how passionately they introduced me to Ghanaian delicacies, sharing interesting stories and cultural insights behind the dishes. Their knowledge and enthusiasm made every meal feel like a unique cultural experience rather than just dining. Wonderful family vacay

We really loved our stay the Accra Marriott hotel. From the moment we checked in the staff was so kind and accommodating to us. Prior to the trip they even made sure to reach out to make sure we had all that we needed and organized us having a connecting room with my father. This really helped us as we were traveling with our young daughter. The morning breakfast staff including Anita, Celine-Dion, Justina, and many more were so kind and sweet to our daughter. They made sure she had a high chair and was she was waving to all the staff by the time we left. The price is worth the convenience to the airport and the care you get at the hotel. Special shout out to the front desk staff, especially Lilly, Princess, and Charlotte who were wonderful as well! We can’t wait to come back!
