- • Going up the stairs with heavy bags (the staff helped us) , but a lift would have been nice.
Very beautiful premises and decor, but poor service
Very impressive historical property furnished with mid to high grade antiques and vintage furniture and objects. Very good breakfast food, which consists of a spread of high quality local dishes and Nyonya kueh curated and purchased from local restaurants and coffeeshops by the hotel.

Staying at 5 Heeren Museum Residence is a true travel experience. It is not just a hotel, but a place full of history, set in a magnificent mansion that is also a real museum. We particularly enjoyed the local breakfast, very rich and varied, which allowed us to discover many Malaysian specialties. An excellent way to start the day and taste the local culture. The hostess is particularly dedicated and passionate. She takes the time to explain each dish to us, making the stay truly unique and enriching. An address that we highly recommend to those who want to experience something authentic and cultural rather than just staying in a hotel.
